This week I lost .6 pounds.
It's going to be a short one this week and I'm breaking from my traditional themed posts, because I'm up at 5 tomorrow then on the road at 5:30 for a 2.5 hour commute.
Here it is. This week wasn't a complete fail, but I didn't "step-it up" this week like I set out to. I guess it was a lofty goal with the hectic first week back to work. I did stay on track with my eating during work. Snacking was limited to carrots (thanks @fitcheerldr for the tip).
Splurging did happen when we headed to Phoenix for a family visit. I limited the eating out and bulk, but could have probably done without the second frozen custard on the way home.
Exercise was still squeezed in when I got home, but often was pushed back to the night as my son kept stealing the wii board from me. I must admit it was quite hilarious. He was very protective of his time with mom after she was gone all day. I made time for what was important and as the school year moves on I'll work out my schedule.
What are your current technology tactics in your healthy living journey?
Who knew social media would be my in to success. It was nice being at home and having Twitter and the #mamavation sistas at my beckon call. Now off to reality and the backward ways of a cellphone without a media plan. I felt so disconnected last week without interacting with other ladies throughout the day. Wii Fit has also been a great motivator to see and easily track my daily fitness goals. And with Wii Fit Plus it lets me know when I've met that daily goal and it helps to keep me motivated to attain it everyday.

A loss is a loss - good for you! Good luck making the transition back to working while keeping up the healthy eating and exercise. Be patient with yourself. You CAN do it!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on a loss. Every 1/10 of a pound counts! Scheduling is something that I am working on as well.
ReplyDeleteA loss is a loss, just like Heather said! Congratulations on still losing while you're transitioning. That's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSo proud of your commute snack! Every small choice will have big results for your future. Great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Be happy for the 0.6 pounds!!!
ReplyDeleteYou made a lot of good choices this weekend. You told me several times that you chose to have something else to eat so you can stay with healthy eating. I am proud of your decisions! You are on your way!
ReplyDeleteNo problem! I need to remind myself too... Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt's normal to splurge every once in a while. When it happens, wipe your slate clean and start fresh right then.
ReplyDeleteI love snacking on carrots. When I'm actually hungry and not just wanting to chew on something, I dip the carrots in peanut butter. The protein boost helps. Have you tried Costco's organic peanut butter? It only has 2 or 3 ingredients and we all love it!
