Here it is, the Safeway Just For U recap; your Safeway savings 101.  I was so lucky to meet with a fantastic group of AZ bloggers and a room full of Safeway executives to learn about this new program.  

What I like:

-A program personalized to your needs and purchasing habits.  That means organic, fruits & veggies for me and no more cat chow.  Every deal is based on YOUR spending.

-BEST DEAL selects the best savings for you between manufacturer coupons, in-store coupons, personalized deals, and club specials.  Your unused deals are left alone.

-Coupons and deals in one place.  No more searching the web and multiple coupon sites.  

Deals are split into 3 sections.

Coupon Center

- Digital coupons sorted to your purchasing habits.  The most relevant coupons will be at the top.
-Clip limits do apply, and they will disappear once they are met.
-Coupons must be loaded to your card.
-Updated daily as new coupons become available.

Personalized Deals

-Deals tailored to your purchasing trends.
-Generally unlimited until offer expiration date.
-Usually a price point special.  For example, I had a deal for $.86 Safeway drinking water (in-store special price was $.89/gallon).
-Each deal must be loaded to your card.  This can be done via the web or mobile app.
-Deals are only available for use in your home area.  For me that's AZ.
  

Your Club Specials

-Weekly club specials relevant to you.
-Do not need to add to your card, anyone with a card can access these specials in-store.
-Currently not available through the mobile app.

*Don't forget to claim your FREE dozen eggs when you signup.

How To Sign-Up:

-Visit the Just for U tab on the Safeway website.

-Click register

-Enter your phone number attached to your card or your club card number.

-Select an email address and password to attach to your Just for U account.

-Start Saving!

iPhone & Android app available.  FREE Wi-FI in-store.  Just enter your club card phone number.

Mobile App:
-My Card (everything you've loaded to your savings card)
-Weekly Ad (club card savings directly from the print ad. Note: not all club card savings are in the ad.  For the best picture use the Your Club Specials section on the website.)
-Personalized Deals
-My List (keep track of your needs, savings, and shopping trip)

Safeway is constantly working on updates to the website and mobile app.  Here are just a few of the updates currently in development.
-Pictures on your My List (app)
-My List to resort by aisle based on your shopping location (app)
-Running Total (app)
-Search for specific brands (app and website)
-Barcode scan (app)
