{Mamavation} Monday: Preparing

Total Loss: 15.2 lbs.
Weekly Loss: 1.2 lbs.

This past week and the days coming we are preparing for our 5K.  That means the costumes are almost made, that's right costumes, the bags are almost pack (LOTS of laundry), and I'm mentally and physically preparing for the run.  Here's a sneak peek of my Disney themed costume and my SIL's.

My one struggle this week are these little laddies . That's right yours and my yearly nemesis.  I'm not proud that I can level a whole box or a few in one sitting.  This year we're single portioning the whole box and limiting when we can eat them. I'm not going to deny myself though.  I know that is a recipe for disaster.

We also overhauled the pantry and did some bulk shopping.  I'm excited to have a backup pantry with all the essentials to limit shopping to weekly for the fresh stuff.  It has already helped so much with planning and prepping meals for the week.  My next goal is doing some batch cooking and freezing.  What's your favorite batch meal?  Share your recipes below.

  3. That is definitely the 5K I would want to do!! Genius dealing with the Cookies. Individually packaging them and not depriving yourself would conquer at least two of my biggest demons. I have not seen a "Cookie Pusher" yet, but I will buy a box or 2 of thin mints. I forget about them though, in fact I am certain I can find at least a box from last year still in my freezer. Hmmm, maybe I should see if they are still good...just kidding.

  4. Wow - LOVE the idea of having a fun skirt for a 5k race! That is awesome! :)

I've never gotten "into" the girl scout cookies (although there are plenty of other things that deter me) and give you total props for single portioning everything. Nice!

  5. I like your pantry so much better than mine. I have lots of jars. Have no idea how they get into my house - I practically never buy them. Love the tutu. GOD LUCK!!

  6. Good luck on the 5k. ugh.. and I LOVE girl scout cookies. Especially the Thin Mints. I don't keep it in my house though because one is just not enough. I've realized that if i don't have junk food in the house i won't eat it. Have a great week!
